In the name of God Amen. I Biddie Stewart of Nottoway County being in perfect mind and sound memory, do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say after my decease, my desire is that for the good services my negro woman Dilcey has done me she shall be free from slavery. Item. I give free Julius husband to my negro woman Dilcey my negro boy named Martin for his good services done me together half my stock cattle and pewter. Item I give to my nephew Alexander Stewart and my niece Prudence Stewart my negroes Elizabeth Nancy Wotten, Frankey, Polley, Sue all in to be equally divided between them. Item I give Alexander Stewart half my cattle. Item I give Prudence Stewart my bed and furniture. In witness I have set my hand and seal, this twentieth day of October one thousand & one.
