To all whom it may concern. Know ye that I Peter Pelham Clerk of Greensville County Court do by these presents emancipate and set at full liberty from myself my heirs and all persons claiming under me the following slaves at the several periods hereafter mentioned to wit Great Dick and Pompey on the twenty fifth day of December this present year 1796. Primus and Cynthia on the twenty fifth day of December this present year 1796. Little Dick and Charles on the twenty fifth day of December 1790. Lucy the twenty fifth day of December 1804. Will the twenty fifth day of December 1805. John on the twenty fifth day of December 1807. Sukey on the twenty fifth day of December 1813. Mourning on the twenty fifth day of December 1815. (all of which negroes will then be under the age of forty five years ) together with the future increase of the said females, which increase, if any, are hereby emancipated at their respective births. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of November one thousand seven hundred and ninety six.
