I Rebeccah Lucas of the County of Greensville and State of Virginia do hereby manumit my negro woman Lucy of the age of 60 years or thereabouts and the said Lucy is discharged from all service and is empowered to act for herself in all things as if she had been actually born a free woman. And I do release to the said Lucy all my right and title to her against myself, and my heirs forever. Witness my hand and seal this 24th day of November 1791.

At a court held for Greensville County this 24th day of November 1791. This deed of emancipation was proved by the oaths of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
