I John Tucker of the state of Virginia and County of Brunswick and Exor of Hartwell Tucker dec’d do hereby in compliance with the last will and testament of said Hartwell Tucker, do hereby manumit a certain negro man named Adam sometimes called Adam Brown. Witness my hand and seal this 22 day of July 1839.
