To all whom it may concern know ye that I Mary Jones of the County of Brunswick for divers good causes doth by these presents for myself & my heirs emancipate discharge & set at full liberty as the laws of Virginia provides in that case from myself my heirs and all persons claiming under me forever hereafter all my negro slaves and their future increase named as follows (that is to say) Anthony aged fifty years, Abednego thirty two, James thirty six, Pheby forty two, Nancy sixteen, Topsail fourteen, George fourteen, John thirteen, Robinson ten, Abby six, Daniel three, Patsey three, Sarah one, Clarisa thirty, Ephraim three, Emond one from & after recording this deed reserving to myself the service of all such among them, as are now under the age of twenty one years until they arrive to the aforesaid age of twenty one years. As witness my hand & seal this seventeenth day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & one.
