In the name of God Amen. I William Hill of the County of Brunswick being of sound and perfect mind & memory (blessed be God) do this eight day of September on the year of our Lord, Christ one thousand seven hundred and ninety one make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and for following. I give unto my son John Hill twenty six shillings only having before conveyed to him what I allotted for him. I give unto my son Isaac Hill twenty six shillings only having before conveyed to him what I allotted for him. I give unto my son Thomas Hill great Sam & [?Flownah?] to him and his heirs forever. I give unto my son Joseph Hill two negroes Fill & little Sam to him & his heirs forever also my grey horse. I lend unto my daughter Priscilla Williams the following slaves to wit Lucy, Suckey, Jole, Jack son of Dinah, Banister due of her natural life and after her death. I give them to all her children to be equally divided between them or the survivors of them but if any one of her children should die before my said daughter leaving a child or children in such case, the child or children to come in for the parents part to them and theirs forever. I give unto my granddaughter Polly William two girl slaves named Nanne and Grace. Bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever also my [?Ordancy?] on the tract and four acres of land [illegible] the said {?Ordancy?] to her and her heirs forever. I give unto my granddaughter Polle Williams two negroes girls Charity and Christen to her and her heirs forever. I give unto my grandson Joseh Williams a negro boy named Godfrey to him and his heirs forever. I lend unto my wife Sarah Hill the plantation where I now live all but my ordancy and four acres of land [illegible] the said ordancy) the said land during her life and no longer all I lend unto her four negroes during her life Tom, Bill daughter of Grace, books and half of my household goods and stock & it is my desire that the other half of my household goods and stocks to my daughter Priscilla Williams and after my wife’s death to be equally divided between my son Thomas Hill and Joseph Hill. This is my desire and to be no appraisement of my estate so God bless them all. I do appoint Miles Williams and Joseph Hill Executors of this my will hereby revoking all former wills by me made and declaring this to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written. It is my desire that Jack and his wife be set free.

This will was presented in court by Miles Williams one of the Executors therein named and John Clayton, William Short, Samuel Kelly & Thomas Ingram being sworn deposeth and say that they were well acquainted with the hand writing of the said William Hill and do verily believe that this will and name thereto subscribed to be wholly written by the said testator and the court being satisfied thereof, the same is ordered to be recorded, and on the motion of the said Executor he having made oath thereto and together with William Short, John Clayton, and Thomas Ingram his securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of fifteen thousand dollars with condition as the law directs certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form liberty being reserved the other Executor to join in the said probate when he thinks fit.
