I Deborah Burnett of Brunswick County of the State of Virginia do hereby set free from bondage my servant Ceasar, a boy aged four years the fifteenth day of last October when he shall arrive to the age of twenty one years which will commence October the fifteenth one thousand eight hundred, and do for myself my Executors and administrators release unto the said negro Ceasar at the above mentioned date all my right and all claim whatsoever as to the property person or to any estate he has or may acquire, hereby declaring the said negro absolutely free without any interruption from me or any person claiming under me at the above date. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty three.
