Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Burroughs of this County of Fauquier State of Virginia have this day manumitted, emancipated and set free and by these presents do manumit, emancipate and set free a negro man slave named Preston otherwise called Preston Briles, the said Preston being a mulatto man of light complexion and about thirty nine years of age.
