To all to whom these presents shall come, know ye that I Phebe Grace of the County of Fauquier in the State of Virginia for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving, have emancipated and set free, and by these presents do for me and my heirs and all claiming or to claim by from through or under me or them fully, freely and absolutely liberate, emancipate and set free one negro man slave called and known by the name of Abraham Hywarden. Witness my hand and seal this sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety three.
