Fourth. I herein wish again to confirm to my daughter Indiana Fleming and her children the title to a tract of land I have laying in Brunswick County which I have already conveyed to David May of Petersburg as trustee for that purpose.

At a court held for Goochland County 20th April 1840
This writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Elizabeth Bowden dec’d was presented in court and (except the codicil) proved by the oaths of John Morris and John Thompson Jr to have been wholly written by the said Elizabeth Bowden dec’d and ordered to be recorded. And the codicil thereto annexed was proved by the oaths of George Fleming a witness thereto to be a part of the said will, which was ordered to be entered for further proof.
Then on the motion of Robert M Bowden the executor named in the said will, who made oath according to law, and entered into and acknowledged a bond in penalty of seven thousand dollars conditioned according to law, without security (the will requiring none) certificate was granted him for obtaining a probate of the said will in due form.
