I Anderson Royster of Goochland County being of sound mind and memory of knowing that all men are to die do dispose of my effects which has pleased God to bless me with in the following manner.
Item I give unto my brother John Royster one half of the land whereon I now live together with half of my personal estate.
Item I give unto my sister Jane Royster one half of my land whereon I now live to include the mansion house.
I give unto F.W. Royster my buck mare called Bitty boxer. It is my wish that the five hundred acres of land north west Ohio should be sold and equally distributed amongst my brothers & sisters.
Its my wish that my negroes should be liberated after the expiration of five years from this date, with a injunction that the legatees will not see them suffer. Given under my hand this 23rd March 1807.

At a monthly sessions court held for Goochland County at the Courthouse on Monday the 18th day of July 1808.
This writing was presented in court & proved by the oaths of Jonah Hather & John Pollock to be the last will & testament of Anderson Royster dec’d & ordered to be recorded.
