In the name of God Amen. I Peter Baker of the county of Goochland and state of Virginia being in sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth. Item 1st I request all my just debts to be paid. I give unto my beloved wife Christina Baker to her forever all my horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, and to do of all kind with the carriages plows and every other kind of tools, with the smiths tools now on the plantation, all my beds, bed furniture, kitchen furniture, my house clock, two watches, desk and book case, with another desk & book case prep, table, chains, couch.
Item 2 I lend unto my beloved wife Christina Baker the negroes below mentioned [illegible] David, George, Peter, Mary, Billy, Betty, Sally, Mariah, Ausey, and Polly with their future increase during her natural life also Ausey without he can be freed, it is my will and desire that Ausey shall be free after my death.
Item 3rd My will and desire is that all my property both real and personal as above mentioned with their increase except what is named in item 1st which is given to my beloved wife at her disposal, should be equally divided are they may see cause in three divisions.
Item 4th I give unto the heirs of my deceased daughter Caty [?Diffenderton?] one shared part of my estate to them and their heirs forever. Item 5th I give unto my beloved daughter Susanna Stoffen one shared part of my estate to her and her heirs forever.
Item 6th I give unto my beloved daughter E. Elizabeth Harding the remainder due there of my estate to her and her heirs forever. And lastly I constitute and appoint my beloved wife Christina Baker my whole and solo executrix and whereas my will and will and desire is that no security shall be required from her to this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty third day of August one thousand eight hundred and six.

At a court of monthly sessions held for Goochland County at the courthouse on Monday the 20th day of April 1807. This writing was presented in court and proved by the oaths of Henry Turner and Thomas B. Watkins to be the last will and testament of Peter Baker deceased and ordered to be recorded. Then on the motion of Christina Baker the executrix named in this last will and testament, who affirmed according to law and gave bond with Arch. Pleasants and Henry Turner her security in the penalty of five thousand dollars, probate thereof was granted her in due form. Teste, Wm Miller CGC
