To all whom these presents may come greeting – know ye that I Archibald Gary Randolph of Goochland County for divers good causes me hereunto moving but more especially for the many and faithful services rendered to me by my negro man Juba do by these presents liberate, set free and emancipate the said Juba from all further presents or future services as my slave and do hereby warrant to the said Juba a free discharge & total exoneration from the personal service to me and my heirs, exors or administrators or any person claiming under me. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this [blank] day of November one thousand seven hundred and ninety six.
