In the name of God, Amen. I Richard Cocke of Fluvanna County being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and constitute this my last will and testament revoking all former wills heretofore made by me. Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Jordan Cocke all my estate both real and personal of whatsoever kind it may benefit of to her and her heirs forever except a mulatto boy named Fleming. It is my will and desire that he may be set free at the age of twenty one years of age. Lastly I constitute and appoint my friends Col. Samuel Richardson, William I Stone, and Robert B Payne well Cocke Executors and my said wife Mary Jordan Cocke Executrix. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the ninth day of December in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and two.

At a court continued and held for Fluvanna County on Tuesday the 24th day of January 1804. This will was this day produced in court and proved by the oaths of William I Stone and Robert B Payne two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Mary Jordan Cocke an executrix therein named who made oath thereto as the law directs and entered into bond in the penalty of fifteen thousand dollars with Kendall Lee and William I Stone her securities conditioned as the law directs, certificate is granted her for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.

At a court of quarterly sessions continued and held for Fluvanna County on Wednesday the 30th day of May 1804. This will was this day in open court further proved by the oath of Benjamin Pollard, a witness thereto.
