Know all men by these presents that I George Holman of the County of Holman to Goochland for an in consideration of the good conduct for and in consideration of the good conduct and honesty of my two slaves Lewi & Suckey, have and by these presents do emancipate and set them free from all kind of service forever. As witness my hand and seal this 22nd day of August 1803.

At a court of quarterly sessions held for Fluvanna County on the 22nd day of August 1803 This Deed of Emancipation was this day in open court proved to be the act of George Holman a party thereto by the oaths of John Quarles and John Timberlake the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
