Whereas Judith Eggleston of the county of Amelia departed this life the 14th day of April 1806 leaving a will in which she appointed me her sole executor which will is dated the 29th day of April 1803 and was duly recorded in the County Court of Amelia and amongst other things willed and directed that a negro woman Ellinor and her two children Nelson & Maria slaves the property of the said testator should be emancipated, and be it known that I Edward Eggleston Executor of the said Judith Eggleston in pursuance of and by virtue of the said will do hereby emancipate and set free the said Ellinor and her two children Nelson and Maria agreeable to the act of the General Assembly in that case made and provided. Given under my hand and seal this 10th day of September 1806.
