Know all men by these presents that I Parham Johnson of Amelia County and state of Virginia being a man of colour for and in consideration of the rights of men do hereby emancipate and set free from bondage one negroe woman slave named Rachel Johnson aged fifty years hereby quitting claim to her person or any property or properties that she may hereafter acquire. In witness whereof I do hereby set my hand and seal this 24th day of October 1805.
