This indenture made the eighth day of February & year of Christ one thousand eight hundred and one. Witnesseth that I John Brunskill of the county of Amelia do by these presents emancipate one certain negro man slave named Harry who was born and raised my property. I do hereby for myself my heirs and every other person whatsoever that may in any manner whatever claim under me renounce all right title claim and interest in the said Harry and declare him to be from the date hereof as fully absolutely and completely free as he can possibly be under the laws of the Commonwealth. In witness whereof I the said John Brunskill do hereunto set my hand and seal this day and date above written.
