We James Richardson, Samuel Leonard and Thomas Binns joint heirs of Jeffrey and Mary Thompson deceased having thereby a negro man named George aged about thirty years, we do hereby emancipate and set free from slavery the said George and we do for ourselves, our heirs, executors or administrators relinquish all our right and title to his person or to my estate he may hereafter acquire. Given under our hands and seals this 22nd day of January 1794.

At a monthly court held for Charles City County on Thursday the 20th day of February 1794. The afore written deed of Emancipation from James Richardson, Samuel Leonard, and Thomas Binns to George a negro man slave was acknowledged by the said Richardson and proved by John Christian and John Clarke two of the witnesses thereto as to Leonard & Binns and ordered to be recorded.
