To All People before whome these presents may come greeting Know ye That I Reubin Harrison of the County of Rockingham and State of Virginia having weighed in the scale of Justice the Conditions of slavery and [sensbly? sensibly?] convinced that it is [illegible] as well By the Laws of Religion as Morallity [Morality] and that as god originally Distributed Eaqualty [Equality] to the Human Race the unalienable Right to the Enjoyment of Personal Liberty to that it behoves Each man to Restore to His fellow creatures that invaliable [invaluable] blessing of which he by unjust and impolitick Laws is possessed. In consideration whareof [whereof] I have and do by these presents emancipate set free and forever discharge from slavery my Negores Vizt, Seasor [Ceaser][,] Joe[,] and Poll or Mary the younger, and I do for my selfe [myself] my heirs executors and assigns by these presents Ratify Release grant and confirm unto the aforesaid Negroes Seasor[,] Joe[,] and Poll and their several heirs or issue forever all and singular my right title clame [claim] or interest of in and unto aney [any] property or future Demand of Personal Service which I now have in them and Each and Either of them.
