In the name of God, Amen, I Christopher Wood Being in my perfect senses do leave this my last will and testament. In the first place my body to be decently berryed. And all my just debts to be paid with all my just debts do to me to be collected. I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife, Sarah Wood, all my estate both real and personal during her natural life and at her death all my slaves I am now possessed of shall have their freedom, they and their increase for ever. The track of land whereon I now live lying both sides Harris Creek, I give to my slaves above mentioned at my life’s death to them and their heirs forever also at my wife’s death I give and bequeath to Christopher Wood, son of John Wood, decreased, now living with me all. The reminder as part of any land, goods and chattels. My will and desire is that the sd. Christopher Wood shall have a liberal education. I leave my wife, Sarah Wood, sole executrix to this my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal [blank] day of January 1790. [Sig.]
