This Indenture made this 28th day of August 1844, by Sarah Price at present of the county of Rockbridge witnesseth that whereas Mary, Judith and Joseph Henry children of Williamson Henry by a woman now deceased named Mary, and who was my slave, the said Mary, Judith & Joseph, having been raised by the said Williamson, and in consideration of the premises, I have by these presents manumitted and given the said Mary J., Judith & Joseph Henry their freedom, and I hereby release and discharge them from any further service to me and my heirs. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the date above written.
