Know all men by these presents that I Thomas B Wall of the County of Mecklenburg and State of Virginia have manumitted emancipated and set free and by these presents do manumit emancipate and set free two negro boys slaves named Andrew and Joe, sometimes called Joe Caty, and one negro girl named Mary, who were owned by me, and I hereby declare them the said Andrew, Joe and Mary to be entirely liberated from slavery and entitled to all the rights and privileges of free persons with which it is in my power to vest them. The said Andrew, hereby emancipated, is a boy of dark complexion, has a small scar in the corner of one eye and was ten years old the last spring. The said Joe, hereby emancipated, is a boy of yellow complexion and was nine years old last October. The said Mary, hereby emancipated, is a girl of dark complexion and was eleven years old in October last. In testimony I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this 20th day of November 1860.

At a County Court continued and held at Mecklenburg County at the courthouse thereof on Tuesday the 20th of November in the year 1860.
This Deed of emancipation was this day acknowledged in open court by Thomas B Wall to be his act and deed and was therefore ordered to be recorded.
