Know all men by those Presents that I Jeremiah Bonner of the County of Charlotte and State of Virginia from a persuasion that it is my duty to God requires so to do manumit emancipate and set free immediately to all intents and purposes from all kinds and degrees of servitude due to me assigns or Heirs forever the following Negroes. Nancy a Girl about twelve years, Jenny about Ten years, Milly about five years Sukey about three and Sally about one years old, all of which Negroes I the said Jere Bonner do now give their freedom. In Witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this first day of December 1788.

At a Court held for Charlotte County the first day of December 1788.
This written instrument emancipating Nancy, Jenny, Milly, Lukey, and Sally was acknowledged in Court by the said Jeremiah Bonner to be his act and deed and ordered to be Recorded.
