I Reuben Wood Executor of John Terrell do hereby certify that the widow of my testator having died I now
assent to the emancipation of his slave Sylva in pursuance of the provisions of the testators will, neither said
slave nor indeed any of the testators slaves, being necessary for the payment of the debts of the estate. Witness
my hand and seal this 10th day of May 1864.

Va. Albemarle County to wit. I Wm H Turner, a Justice of the Peace of the County aforesaid in the State
aforesaid do certify that Reuben Wood whose name is signed to the foregoing paper dated the 10th day of May
1864, has acknowledged the same before me in my County aforesaid. Given under my hand this 12th day of
May 1864.

In the Clerk's Office of Albemarle County Court the 14 May 1864.
This Deed was presented to me in my said Office and duly certified was thereupon admitted to record.
