              <text>I Allen Jones of Grayson County &amp; State of Virginia do move to publish this my last will &amp; testament in manner and form following that is to say after the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses. &#13;
1st In consequence of large advances made to my departed son Churchwell and a large debt he is due me I will and bequeath to his heirs one dollar each.&#13;
2nd I wish the balance of my property personal and real equally divided between the rest of my children (viz) my daughter Cenia Fulton my daughter Cinthia Fulton my daughter Olley Worrell, my daughter Charlotte Atkins, my daughter Fanny Moore, my daughter Celia Nuckolls, my daughter Matilda Hale, and my departed son Spotswood’s heirs. &#13;
3rd I give my slaves their freedom viz. Thomas &amp; Vilot; and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint David Atkins and Isaac Moore executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 19th day of July 1852.&#13;

This last will and testament of Abner Jones deceased was proved by the oath of Stephen M Hale a subscribing witness thereto and continued for further proof. Grayson County Court Tuesday 25th October 1856. This last will and testament of Abner Jones dec’d was this day fully proved by the oath of Benjamin Sharpe a subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Isaac Moore and David Atkins two of the Executors therein named who made oath thereto and together with Samuel J Brown and Robert Currin their securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $2500 conditioned as the law directs certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate of the said will in due form.&#13;
