              <text>In the name of God Amen I George T James of the County of Southampton and State of&#13;
Virginia do make and ordain this to be my last Will and testament in manner and form following. to wit.&#13;
First I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Jackson Freedony Jackson and Martha Jackson daughters&#13;
of Annora[?] Jackson all of my tracts of land to them and their heirs forever. though if either of said&#13;
children should die before they arrive the age of twenty one then the surviving ones shall have her part&#13;
her part of said land.&#13;
Second. I give and bequeath unto John H. James son of Francis James five hundred dollars in money&#13;
or good bonds -&#13;
Third. I loan to James R Joyner the following negro woman Hannah and her two children and future&#13;
increase his life and at his death they are to be free - My negro man Stephen I give and&#13;
bequeath unto said James R Joyner - the balance of my estate after paying my just debts&#13;
I give and bequeath unto Mark A James and William A Joyner to be equally devided between&#13;
them -&#13;
Lastly. I nominate, Constitute and appoint Mark A James and William A Joyner Extors to this&#13;
my last Will and testament - In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed&#13;
my seal this 25th day of April 1861.&#13;

This last Will and testament of George T James decd was proved by the oaths of J. E. P. Turner and Jno T. Branch&#13;
the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Mark A James and William A&#13;
Joyner the executors therein named who made oath and together with Thomas M Newsom their Security (who justified&#13;
on oath as to his sufficiency) entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of Six thousand dollars conditioned&#13;
as the law directs certificate is granted them for obtaining probat of the said will in due form -&#13;
