And the said Scylla Jane having purchased from me the said slave William for the sum of fifteen hundred dollars, which has been paid to me for her by the Executor of said Hugh Adams, and desired me to manumit him, the said slave William in order that he might accompany his wife Scylla Jane to the Colony of Liberia for which they will embark during the coming month.
