Caroline &amp; her children William, Thomas, and Lucy and future increase Carolina is forty five years old, of a brown colour, William is about twenty five, Thomas about eleven, and Lucy abut nine years old, all about the colour of their mother.&#13;

Know all me by these presents, that whereas the last will and testament of Timothy Rogers Decd. Dated the 10th day of March 1848 the said testator emancipated and set free the following negro slaves to wit Bob, Frank, Daniel, Tom, Chie, Samson, Sally, Clarissa, Sarah, Emeline, Amy, William, Mary, Frances, daughter of Mary, Jesse son of Mary, Aberitta, Harvey, Maria, Frances, Nancy, John, Martha, Jesse son of Frances, and Mary (daughter of Frances) which will more fully appear by reference to the said will and testament of the said testator. which after his death to wit on the 22nd day of April 1850 was duly proved in the county court of Bedford and by an order of the said court was recorded, and whereas also the following slaves to wit, Pleasant, Saura, Daniel, Betty and Sophia children of the above named Francis, and the following slaves to wit, Ellen and Phebe children of the above named Mary, are entitled to their freedom under the provisions of the said last will and testament, they having been born since the death of the said testator- Now therefore Know ye, We John F Sale and William Witt, surviving executors of Timothy Rogers deceased have assented and do by these presents assent to the legacy of freedom bequeathed to the said slaves and each and every of them, by the said Timothy Rogers by his last will and testament aforesaid, heretofore they or any or either of them are entitled under and by virtues of the provisions of the last will and testament- in testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this the 30th day of March 1859&#13;
