              <text>I Andrew Hampton Sr of Grayson County and State of Virginia being weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and ordain this as my last will and testament. First, I desire that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid out of any moneys belonging to my estate. Secondly, I desire that my grand daughter, wife Bettie Moore, shall have one bay filly, one side saddle, one bed and furniture and one chest together with two hundred dollars in money to be paid to her in three months from my decease. Thirdly, I give to each of my three slaves at my death their freedom viz. George, Lewis, and Jane, all of whom are to have the privilege as soon thereafter as they see proper to remove to any state where they may be allowed to go, and so much as may be necessary to defray the expenses of such removal, shall be paid out of any money belonging to my estate. Fourthly, I give and bequeath unto my several children Lema Pool, deceased, Wade Hampton dec’d, Jenny Cox, Catherine McLean, Sarah Carson deceased, and Polly Hackler equal portions of all my lands, that I now own or may have at my decease my two other children, Griggs Hampton and Patty Moore, having each rec’d their portion of land are not to have any share in the lands, herein devised.  Fifthly I give all the residue of my estate to my several children viz Lema Pool, Wade Hampton, Jenny Cox, Catharine McLean, Sarah Carson, Polly Hackler, Griggs Hampton and Patty Moore in equal portions [illegible] the amounts that I have already given and which I have charged against them respectively upon our account which I will leave for the discretion of my executors. Lastly, I appoint my two grand sons Andrew Hampton and Litrille Hampton executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28th day of May 1860.&#13;

              <text>I Allen Jones of Grayson County &amp; State of Virginia do move to publish this my last will &amp; testament in manner and form following that is to say after the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses. &#13;
1st In consequence of large advances made to my departed son Churchwell and a large debt he is due me I will and bequeath to his heirs one dollar each.&#13;
2nd I wish the balance of my property personal and real equally divided between the rest of my children (viz) my daughter Cenia Fulton my daughter Cinthia Fulton my daughter Olley Worrell, my daughter Charlotte Atkins, my daughter Fanny Moore, my daughter Celia Nuckolls, my daughter Matilda Hale, and my departed son Spotswood’s heirs. &#13;
3rd I give my slaves their freedom viz.               <text>Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Lundy of the County of Grayson and State of Virginia, in consideration of the hitherto dutiful and obedient conduct of my son William Lundy, have and do by these presents set free, forever discharge from all manner of service, the said William Lundy, and all claim and demand in and to any property, whether real or personal, which the said William Lundy may have acquired by gift and or from his own industry. I hereby release, and relinquish unto him and his heirs forever free from all and every claim or demand which I might have thereto; and also to any other property of what kind except which may be acquired by the said William Lundy between this time and his arrival at age of twenty one years; herby permitting the said William Lundy to act and as for himself to all intents and purposes, and as fully and completely as if he were now of the age of 21 years. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 3 day of March 1841. &#13;
