divers Consideration we hereunto moving do hereby emancipate &amp; set free my Negro man slave, George by&#13;
name, also my Negro woman, Jane by name, aged 31 years together with her children four in number, one a&#13;
boy, Spencer by name, three girls, Betty Lee, Martha Ann, &amp; Nelly Walker by name and their future increase,&#13;
at  my  death.    Securing  to  myself  the  benefit  of  their  services  during  my  natural  life,  and  this  deed  of&#13;
emancipation to take effect at my death.  Witness my hand &amp; seal this 21st day of October 1857.  &#13;

taken Jane a woman of colour then the slave of Anderson &#13;
Pride, according to the usuages of people of colour to be my&#13;
wife &amp; have ever since lived with with her as man and wife&#13;
and she now being far advanced in years, I have purchased&#13;
her from the said Anderson Pride and as evidence&#13;
Thereof I hold his bill of sale dated the 24th of December 1838 &#13;
and do by these presents make this my last will &amp; Testament &#13;
devising to her all my personal property (having no real) &#13;
to wit one horse and all my crops &amp; household furniture &#13;
and also bequeath and devise to her, her liberty, and direct &#13;
next immediately after my decease, this my last will and &#13;

Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Miller of the County of Campbell and State of&#13;
Virginia have released liberated and set free and by these presents do voluntarily release,&#13;
liberate, emancipate and entirely and forever set free my negro woman Slave Mary aged about&#13;
twenty three years. And her two children One a girl named Sarah six years and the other a boy&#13;
named Edward, about three years of age, with all the future increase of the said female slaves,&#13;
and I do hereby ratify and confirm this deed of emancipation of the slaves aforesaid and the&#13;
future increase of the said females and do hereby covenant and bind myself my heir V to warrant&#13;
the freedom of said slaves with the future increase as aforesaid against the existing claim or&#13;
